Joyce Luane Roberts, DO Internal Medicine in Tampa, FL

I would not recommend this provider to anyone, she seemed dis interested in my concerns and what I needed to get done and forms filled out. Not a fan or will ever go to Joyce rivers again at this location prefer any other doctor

Dr. Joyce, though personable, is a bit authoritarian. Some people may be fine with a doctor directing them in this manner and as she does not know me and my intelligence, my command over my medical treatment she behaved as she would with anyone. That bedside manner runs against my grain. If this becomes standard operating procedure for TGH I will definitely find another provider outside the TGH family.

Dr ROBERTS was prompt to address my concerns

She was really rude and disrespectful.

I feel very confident, comfortable, and trusting in Dr. Robert's care.

Dr. Roberts was rude, she didn't listen to my symptoms, when I explained that I had breast pain and a lump appeared. She only repeated several times that I had to go to a breast surgeon, even though I repeatedly told her to read My Chart because I had already had that appointment, referred by my PCP. No examined me even though I told her I had pain and a lump, she told me that this was not her specialty and that this appointment was only a follow-up.

Dr, Roberts' bedside manner was not the best. Was okay, kind of nice but just seemed very rushed and In a hurry overall. Felt like she cut me off few times talking to just get to the point. Felt like she cared more about the time and moving me In/out fast than getting to know me or caring about me as a person.

Didn't examine the problems I had after describing them, diagnosed skin problem with asthma medication that looks very dangerous especially for people with mental health issues without explaining anything besides how to take it. Didn't believe me when I said my one of my hamstrings is torn and didn't check it herself

Impatient, rushed, brusque and insensitive. Interrupted me describing my Hx of illness. Said I have to expect arthritis at my age and offered no suggestions.

I was not impressed with Dr. Roberts. She immediately started to change my medication that I have had prescribed to me for years without even asking or discussing why I was taking or dosing decisions. When I asked about potential treatments that were recommended to me by urgent care providers I had seen to treat a distressing issue I am experiencing, she very rudely told me the idea was terrible. I feel she did not listen to my concerns and was very unprofessional. I will not be returning for another appointment with her, I will be making an appointment with the original provider I tried to make an appointment with. I also need to see a neurosurgeon and she could not recommend anyone. She stated she didn't know any providers and to find someone I knew. The whole experience was unsettling. I knew I could not establish primary care with her, as I felt she did not listen or have my best interest.

Brusk and hurried.

She seemed to rush through the appointment and talked really fast. Cut me off when discussing concerns that were of other specialties.

Very disappointed, no physical assessment was conducted, no attempt to assess how bothersome my concern was to me, when I tried to ask questions related to what could be the explanation for my issue, the answer was not my area of expertise. Labs and imagings were ordered; however, without any assessment or history taking the severity or urgency of my issue could have been missed. The very least, the visit left me feeling I was an imposition to her schedule.

Absolutely horrible worst doctor I've ever seen. Made comments about medication she knew nothing about. Dealing with a bunch of issues Who told me if my labs came back normal that she decided to order that nothing was wrong with me and she'd see me in a year. Absolutely disgusted by the behavior that she displayed in the room

Dr. Roberts did nothig at this appt except for listening to my breathing. This was supposed to also be an establishment of care, however, she berated me for being on medications that my previous dr had me on and refused to addres those issues. Her bedside manner is very abrupt and she was rude and uncaring. I felt ashamed to even be there and therefore have changed my medical care team. She ordered a colorectal test when I clearly stated that I had a colonoscopy done with excellent results and was not scheduled for another until 2028. She didn't even talk with me... she just talked AT me and that is NOT how a good doctor operates. Rather than look up the known treatment I was under she just tld me she wouldn't deal with it.

Dr Roberts was very stern and to the point. I truly like that. Definitely happy we have her as a doctor.

Dr. Roberts was very attentive, respectful and listened well. I am pleased to be establishing primary care with her.

I just moved here from with multiple, ongoing minor issues. She said my previous doctor was stupid about my BP approach. She didn't explain. She didn't ask enough questions to form that opinion.

Dr. Joyce roberts was apprehensive when I asked her to check a wound in my mother.

Came off indifferent at first, but I came to understand her way of working. It was very clear and informative of the plan. So in turn a doctor I can respect.

The doctor that I saw was the worst doctor that I have ever seen in my life. Very dismissive and did not care at all. Felt very rushed.

Kept cutting me off while explaning what was going on with me. Showed no sympathy when I told her i was going through anxiety, since i am 3 months pp. and also explained that i was sweating at night and told me she had nothing to do with that to contact my Ob. But again its not what she said its how she said it. Felt the whole appointment was rushed. So rushed she didn't even perform a clinical breast exam, last time I checked thats part of the routine check up.

Dr Roberts bedside manor is horrendous. She is condescending & her comments are unsupportive & lacking in any kind of empathy. She made some very inappropriate comments to me. She should be fired.

I have a medical disorder that requires regular hormone monitoring. I asked for routine lab checks and was willing to pay, but the provider refused, stating it was not her specialty-even though no treatment or interpretation beyond reference ranges was required. She was rude and uncooperative throughout the visit, yet claimed she felt "bullied" by me, which felt inappropriate and unprofessional. The appointment lasted about 15 minutes instead of the scheduled 30, and it was clear she was not interested in addressing my concerns. When I raised another issue, I was told it would be my last complaint. Overall, I felt dismissed and uncared for as a patient.

She did not examine me listen to my heart nothing sit across the room looking at my charts in the computer

Dr. Roberts was great! She understood my concerns and really helped me.

Dr Robert was very short she didn't seem concerned. No help at all never went to dr appointment and felt like I went for no reason. Never checked my hand that I came in for. Just look at the computer you will need to get on of these. I asked about my voice. I lost my voice prior to coming for my appointment and ask can she check me out to find out why. She stated I can't do nothing for you. You have a head cold do what ever in so many word looked in mouth at a distance and said it look normal. Then ok we are done. Just walk to exit have a good day. The nurse was like are you check out I told her I don't know she told me to walk to exit door.

She did not want to hear much of my concerns due to lack of information from my regular doctor's notes

Very little discussion, did not feel as if patient was provided with an opportunity to share in decision making. Question answered curtly

My first time with Dr. Roberts and I'll stay with her

You know people that call their self a doctor's should never take on a job with in they hate to do, Dr Robert need to learn every patients are not the same and we all deserve respect and kindness when coming the clinic. Plus Dr Robert needs to listen to the patients to get a better understanding of what that patient is really there for, Dr Robert never knew I also work for Tampa General Medical Center in Brooksville Florida Kindness and Understanding goes a long ways. I wouldn't want her as my doctor at all because she never listen to her patients at all.

Doctor understood my concerns and took corrective actions concerning my scripts.

Did not have any empathy for the issue i was having. When I told her about my visit to podiatrists, she said, " then why are you here?". Very bad bed side manners, not willing to help at all. I said well i was hoping to get something for the pain, she said she can't prescribe anything for pain, when she noticed that i was getting uncomfortable. I am never going back there.

The provider seemed to be off put about my appointment being solely about FMLA. She kept referring to the amount of time since my last visit. Whenever I brought the conversation back around to my reasons for FMLA, she would cut me off while I was speaking and deflect to getting me scheduled for blood work and wellness appointments.

She didn't show any interest in my condition she had expressed her opinion that women should go through menopause naturally. When I asked her for order an x-ray for neck and shoulders. Her answer was-"what for? Only to find out that you have arthritis?" She gave me that order only because I insisted. This was first visit she seemed to be on the hurry, as she spent with me less then 15 min.

Dr. Joyce Roberts was my physician and I think she is wonderful.

Dr Roberts has a terrible bed side manner, is very unprofessional and rude. She talks over the patient and does not listen.

This was the worst doctors appointment that I can recall. I will not be using Dr. Roberts ever again.

She was thoroughly in discussions, but phy exam was limited.

Dr Roberts is a good fit and truly cares about her patients! Love her!

My health is my main priority and to have my concerns dismissed made me feel uncomfortable with her continuing my health journeys.
