I studied Biology at Purdue University and graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine with honors in 1997. My Pediatric residency training was through the University of South Florida after which I worked as a general and urgent care pediatrician for 7 years. I returned to Indiana University for my Medical Genetics residency, which I completed in 2009, and remained as faculty there until returning to USF in 2016. I primarily provide care to children with suspected or known genetic disorders but also see limited adults suspected to either have a specific underlying genetic disorder or whom at risk for passing a genetic condition to their offspring. I also run the lysosomal storage disease clinic in which we treat affected patients of all ages and am engaged in several clinical research studies. My educational role includes clinical teaching of medical students, genetic counseling students, pediatric residents and maternal fetal medicine fellows.
