My visit with the doctor lasted under 5 mins. The doctor did not take the time to review the previsit questionnaire with me, which listed additional health concerns. It seems that my entire visit was rushed. I am disappointed

Trushar Patel spent about 5 minutes or less to discuss my scans. The visit would have likely been 2 minutes in length had I not asked additonal questions of him. He was extremely rushed. This is my second visit with him and my first experience was very similar. I gave him another chance but I overheard him and a collegaue joke about how quick he was in and out of my exam room. Very unprofessional and very dismissive when I asked questions. His demeanor and his actions require me to seek a new physician. He is not someone I would trust to do invasive work such as surgery.

Couldn't have an better experience

The Dr spent less than a min with me. It felt very rushed. I really would have liked to discuss my issues more. He was in and out it felt like a drive by. What happened during the visit could have been done over the phone.

Dr. Patel is incredible, he speaks very softly and with great care. He talks to me directly and explains things and really put my mind at ease based upon what my previous doctor had said and recommended I do for my cancer.

They all work professionally.

I didn't have a good experience with Dr. Patel. He was hurried, dominating, not building rapport and spent 5 minutes. He stands up and doesn't sit down. That infers he is hurrying and rushed. There are chairs he could use and relax and be friendly. He is authoritarian in style. He doesn't use any visual aids to explain better anything. He doesn't review radiology films with the patient. I sensed the doctor was sending subtle signals that me and my prostate cancer was unimportant and I be better off going to another medical facility elsewhere in Tampa. Dr. Patel is very astute expert and has loads of experience and talents. I'm grateful he became my doctor. However, the last exam created worries and doubts going forward. I'm now reaching out for more information, support, and help from the Morsani Urology team.

Dr. Patel is amazing. First, he maintains a calming, laid back demeanor that makes it extremely easy to talk to him. He has a friendly, but direct style of communication that provides clear insight and clear information on the decisions to be made. He presents the possible courses of action, along with the pros and cons of each, allowing tha patient to make an educated choice, and he is supportive of the decision process. He then clarifies what the way ahead is and what are the potential problems. Once again, phenomenal doctor.
