Jodi Hernandez, APRN

Jodi Hernandez is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and board-certified family nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. With more than five years of expertise in medical-surgical oncology, she demonstrates a deep understanding of the complexities of patient care and the emotional and physical needs of patients with a variety of illnesses. Jodi’s passion for compassionate care and expertise in managing complex conditions led her to transition into gastroenterology, where she now specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders. She works closely with individuals to develop evidence-based, personalized treatment plans that support both short-term relief and long-term health for acute and chronic GI issues. Jodi takes pride in fostering strong patient-provider relationships, ensuring that every individual feels heard, supported, and empowered in their health care journey. Prior to joining Tampa General Hospital Digestive Health Center in 2024, Jodi worked as a charge nurse, preceptor nurse, and registered nurse in medical-surgical oncology, and as an operating room registered nurse – all at Jupiter Medical Center. Jodi graduated with a Bachelor of Science in exercise physiology and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Miami. She then went on to receive her Master of Science in nursing, as well as Doctor of Nursing Practice from Nova Southeastern University. Jodi enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and her Bernedoodle, Rocco. In her spare time, she works out on her Peloton, cheers on the Miami Hurricanes, and regularly travels to the Bahamas.
