Dr. Huang is a fellowship-trained abdominal organ transplant surgeon. and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He earned his medical degree at Washington University in St. Louis, MO and completed his residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Huang then went on to complete a fellowship with the LifeLink Transplant Institute in Tampa.

He currently serves as the surgical director of renal transplantation for Tampa General Medical Group and is the vice chief of general surgery at Tampa General Hospital. Dr. Huang also holds an affiliate assistant professor appointment from the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, department of surgery. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, basketball, violin and photography. Dr. Huang is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese, Spanish and French.

The care that I had post surgery was by an APRN- cannot recall her name but she saw me after my surgery and in the hospital. I absolutely love her. She listened to all of my concerns and even got me stronger pain medicine after surgery despite me voicing to the surgeon during pre surgery visit that tramadol isn't effective in managing my pain. She is a great practitioner & Im thankful for all of her help!

Dr. Huang was thorough, humorous and took his time to explain my treatment plan. He answered all my questions. I am pleased with Dr. Huang's bedside manner. Excellent surgeon.

Dr Huang deserves fives in all of these categories plus he has a warm and welcoming attitude, is clear and patient while answering patient's concerns and possesses a confidence which assure the patient that he is in good hands. I would recommend Dr. Huang to anyone you need kidney transplant.
