Garrett Babbs, PA

Garrett Babbs is a nationally certified physician assistant with Tampa General Hospital who specializes in medical oncology. He has provided care to patients in the Tampa Bay area for the majority of his physician assistant career in a number of settings that include urgent care, acute care, family medicine and emergency medicine. Prior to joining Tampa General, he served as an urgent care physician assistant at Signature Urgent Care in St. Petersburg, Fla., after working for more than three years in the observation unit at AdventHealth Tampa-US Acute Care Solutions.

Babbs graduated from the Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant program at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Fla. He received his bachelor's degree in biological sciences from University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to becoming a physician assistant in 2009, Babbs began his health care career in California as a phlebotomist at Huntington Hospital and a DNA research technician at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
