Emanuel Gottenger, MD

Emanuel E. Gottenger, MD, FACS, was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and earned his medical degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela. After relocating to the United States, he completed both his internship and residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. Later, Dr. Gottenger completed a combined fellowship in urologic oncology and laparoscopy at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center in West Palm Beach and the University of Miami School of Medicine. He remained at the VA and started a urologic laparoscopic program where he performed some of the first laparoscopic nephrectomies, nephroureterectomies, and prostatectomies in Palm Beach County. 

Dr. Gottenger is an affiliate assistant professor of surgery at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), and former chairman of the department of surgery at Delray Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Urological Association. Dr. Gottenger is fluent in English, Spanish, Hebrew, and German. He is recognized as a “Top Doctor” by health care directory, Castle Connolly.
