Daniel Caruso, MD, MBA, is a urological surgeon specializing in advanced urological procedures, reconstructive surgery for pelvic floor disorders, and the diagnosis and treatment of urologic cancers, including kidney, bladder, prostate, and testes. A skilled robotic surgeon, he uses minimally invasive techniques to address complex urologic conditions and serves as a proctor for the da Vinci robotic surgical system. Dr. Caruso frequently volunteers in the Caribbean, teaching physicians and providing patient care.
Dr. Caruso earned his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and completed an MBA in health care administration at Rutgers Business School on a full merit scholarship. During his residency at Jackson Health System, he served as a surgical intern, urology resident, and chief resident, earning the “Best Laparoscopic Surgeon” award.
Dr. Caruso completed fellowship training at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, treating complex voiding dysfunctions, pelvic organ prolapse, and neurogenic bladder, while serving as a clinical instructor. He has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national and international scientific meetings.
