Benjamin D Mackie, MD

Dr. Mackie completed medical school at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa. He completed his internal medicine residency and a fellowship in cardiology, advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation, at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Mackie served as chief medical resident and chief cardiology fellow during his training at Emory. He has published a number of manuscripts in notable journals and contributed to numerous cardiovascular disease and internal medicine textbooks. He is a member of numerous professional and scientific societies including the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation, Heart Failure Society of America, and the Florida Medical Association. Dr. Mackie's clinical interests are advanced heart failure, cardiac transplantation, mechanical circulatory support and cardiac echocardiography.
