Alberto Goizueta, MD

Dr. Goizueta is originally from northern Florida and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida in Molecular Biology and Microbiology. He also studied Molecular Medicine at the University of South Florida before obtaining his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Boston University in Providence, RI, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX. He then completed an advanced fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
Dr. Goizueta’s practice specializes in the care of the critically ill and pulmonary diseases with an emphasis on advanced airway and pleural disease. He performs a wide array of diagnostic, therapeutic, and palliative airway and pleural procedures in patients with benign and malignant diseases. Additionally, he has a strong interest in medical education, medical device development, and clinical research related to critical care and lung cancer. Outside of medicine, he enjoys many outdoor activities including biking, hiking, sports, and being on the water as well as spending time with his family and friends.
