I'm still getting used to Dr. Cohen's style and personality.

At a recent visit to Dr. Cohen's office, he had a trainee (MD student) come in first to take my vital measurements. Everything was normal except that I had experienced an afib attack a couple weeks earlier - which I did not tell the trainee about. When Dr. Cohen came in the room, I informed him about the afib event and he asked if I relayed that to the trainee, I told him that I had not because I wanted to inform my assigned doctor, not a trainee. Dr. Cohen seemingly got upset, asked why I chose to bury my head in the sand, etc., etc.' He then points a finger at me while crossing it with another finger in a "shame-on-you" fashion (note: this is not the first time I have seen this "shame-on-you" action). He then asks if I went to the ER when I experienced afib and I told him no that I had not experienced any sensation out of the ordinary except that the treadmill at the YMCA indicated a high pulse rate. He again gave me the "shame-on-you" jester. I am a retired USF College of Engineering professor and former dean, and I find this type of behavior condescending and belittling.
